If you are planning on travelling distance to attractions, we would recommend that you contact the venues directly in advance to avoid disappointment.

If you, or any of your party have a new persistant cough, or develop a fever of 38C, we would instead advise you to use the NHS's dedicated website for professional advice.

RSPB Eastern Moors Reserve

The Eastern Moors sit in the Peak District National Park and on the fringes of Sheffield, England's fourth-largest city. A landscape where there's lots to see and do, the Eastern Moors are almost entirely open access with a network of bridleways and footpaths and internationally-renowned climbing edges. They're loved by wildlife enthusiasts, adventure sport seekers and those looking for quiet enjoyment. This is a fabulous place to find lots of wildlife. The Moors are well-known for their adders, red deer and short-eared owls and if you're really lucky, you could even see an elusive water vole. There are picnic benches at Curbar Gap and Shillito Wood car parks. There are a few bridleways and surfaced paths on the Eastern Moors, but they're not fully-suited to pushchairs, and not suitable for wheelchairs. The Moors are managed by the Eastern Moors Partnership, a joint venture between the National Trust and the RSPB, on behalf of the Peak District National Park Authority.
The Eastern Moors are 'open access' so you can visit anytime.
It's free!
There are big, open spaces for families to play in and explore, and regular events are held throughout the year, such as 'Play Wild in Wellies', Muck In Days and the Spring Challenge.
Dogs to be kept under close control, particularly during the bird breeding season.
