The Eastern Moors sit in the Peak District National Park and on the fringes of Sheffield, England's fourth-largest city. A landscape where there's lots to see and do, the Eastern Moors are almost entirely open access with a network of bridleways and footpaths and internationally-renowned climbing edges. They're loved by wildlife enthusiasts, adventure sport seekers and those looking for quiet enjoyment. This is a fabulous place to find lots of wildlife. The Moors are well-known for their adders, red deer and short-eared owls and if you're really lucky, you could even see an elusive water vole. There are picnic benches at Curbar Gap and Shillito Wood car parks. There are a few bridleways and surfaced paths on the Eastern Moors, but they're not fully-suited to pushchairs, and not suitable for wheelchairs.The Moors are managed by the Eastern Moors Partnership, a joint venture between the National Trust and the RSPB, on behalf of the Peak District National Park Authority.
